Grayson College Foundation to host Miller Barber Viking Challenge
The Grayson College Foundation will host the 20th Annual Miller Barber Viking Challenge Golf Tournament on Monday, Oct. 10 at Tanglewood Golf Course in Pottsboro, Texas.
“We have changed our format and location for this year’s tournament,” said Randy Truxal, executive director of the Grayson College Foundation, “but as in years past, all proceeds will benefit the Grayson College Viking Scholarship Fund.”
In 2015, the golf tournament raised over $25,000 for student scholarships.
The format for the tournament will be a four-person scramble and shootout. Tournament day check-in begins at 10 a.m. Bonners Burgers will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Club House, and tee time is at 1 p.m. Awards and a post-tournament reception will begin at 5 p.m.
Entry fees are $100 per person and include lunch, green fees, cart fees, post-tournament reception, a golf shirt, cap, towel and goodie bag. Guests are welcome and individual entrants will be paired with other players.
Prizes include hole in one prizes, Team Bonner shootout prizes and team prizes. There will also be two $10,000 hole in one opportunities.
